I am currently Ward 2 Representative on City Council and a member of the Environmental and Ordinance Committees, and would be honored to serve as Canandaigua's Mayor. I worked for over 35 years as a Parole Officer in the Buffalo and Rochester areas. I chose Canandaigua over 25 years ago because of the beauty of the lake and the friendly, family-oriented community. We raised our boys here and one son and his family continue to live here. My wife and I currently live in Rosepark Cottages.
Supporting my neighbors and community has always been a priority for me. I served as a volunteer fireman and lieutenant on the Rescue Squad in Mayville, NY. Currently I volunteer for Habitat for Humanity picking up donations and helping with builds, such as the one on Foster Street. I believe that my degree in Economics, career, volunteer work, and fresh perspective as a retiree will allow me to be a thoughtful and considerate representative. My priorities will be: • Safeguarding our natural resources—I will advocate for the beauty of Canandaigua Lake and support green initiatives. • Providing high-quality city services while maintaining low tax rates—I will balance the cost of government while keeping public services that keep our community safe and thriving. • Investing in our community—I will fight for affordable living options and programs that help people own homes and maintain their properties.
