Our team of dedicated leaders has a proven track record of...

  • Keeping City taxes among the lowest in New York State while providing high-quality services to residents.
  • Prioritizing the beauty and integrity of Canandaigua Lake and its watershed.
  • Investing in a cleaner, healthier future by transitioning to energy-efficient streetlights, implementing a backyard composting program, and installing a solar array to power City properties, resulting in NYS-certification as a Climate Smart Community.
  • Improving our local economy by supporting development and redevelopment of properties throughout the City, including Tom's Mobile, Labelon, and Lisk properties.
  • Partnering with Habitat for Humanity and Pathstone Corporation to increase access to affordable and energy-efficient housing.
  • Fostering new approaches to keep our residents safe, including establishing  a mutual-aid agreement with the VA fire department, pursuing public safety grant opportunities, and building collaborative partnerships.
  • Increasing the quality of life for residents by funding additions to City parks, including a dog park and pickle ball courts; approving the installation of Little Library Boxes; and supporting the performing arts center at Fort Hill apartments.
